Brevard County Sheriff Office’s SWAT team was engaged in a two-hour standoff with a man held up in Unit #10 of The Courtyard apartments located at the intersection of Fourth Street South and South Orlando Avenue in Cocoa Beach this morning.

After the SWAT team made several requests via bull horn for the man to come out with his hands up, tear gas canisters were fired into his unit and SWAT moved in a little while later and were able to apprehend the man without seriously injuring him.
