The latest James Bond movie Skyfall is number one at the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of November 11, 2012. according to estimates by Rentrak Corporation.
Rentrak’s President of Theatrical Worldwide, Ron Giambra commented, “Skyfall is the No. 1 film in the world for the third consecutive weekend with an estimated weekend gross of $176.8 million from 81 markets. The film surpassed the $500 million mark worldwide this weekend and came in No. 1 in the US with an estimated weekend of $87.8 million. This is the best opening ever for the Bond franchise in the US. The current worldwide cume-to-date now stands at $518.6 million.
