PALM BAY, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that two Palm Bay residents have died as a result of injuries they sustained in a vehicle crash in Melbourne, Florida.
80-year-old William Tepper was driving a 2004 Toyota Highland with 71-year-old Sandra Hart as a passenger northbound on Riverside Drive near State Road 518.
For an unknown reason, Tepper failed to negotiate a large sweeping right curve. The Toyota left the roadway and glanced off a tree on the west shoulder, crossed over to the east side of the roadway and struck a concrete pole.
Troopers say that it appears that Tepper had a medical condition which may have contributed to the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
