Antares Rocket Launch Date Set For Sunday

WALLOPS ISLAND, Virginia — The launch of an Antares rocket by NASA’s commercial partner, Orbital Sciences Corporation of Dulles, Va., was pushed back to Sunday due to high winds yesterday.

The launch had previously been scrubbed due to a premature separation of a launch pad umbilical connection to the Antares rocket’s upper stage last Wednesday.

The next launch attempt from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Va. is set for Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
