BREVARD COUNTY, Florida — The pilot of a two-seater Gyrocopter involved in a fatal crash this morning at Valkaria Airport has been identified as Scott Adair.
A Brevard County spokesperson said in an email that the crash occurred just before 8 a.m. The crash appeared to have occurred just minutes after Adair was seen flying the Gyrocopter over the airfield.
Witnesses said the Gyrocopter went down and struck an unmanned plane that was parked on the north side of the airport property.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash.
