COCOA, Florida – A woman was shot just before 11 a.m. on Thursday in Canaveral Groves just north of Cocoa, Florida.
After Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at 4155 Atoka Court, she was transported by Brevard County Fire Rescue crews to a medical helicopter and air lifted as a trauma alert to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
Sheriff’s deputies and investigators remain on scene at at the residence.
The suspected shooter has not been taken into custody.
