MIMS, Florida – A body was discovered near the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Gloria Avenue in Mims, Florida on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

The Florida Highway Patrol received a call from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office regarding a deceased female located in a ditch.

Troopers arrived on the scene at 10:15 am. and are investigating the circumstances leading to the cause of death.

According to FHP spokesperson Lieutenant Kim Montes, the preliminary information suggests that this may involve a hit and run crash.
